Ladder specialist Henchman’s Magento setup was limiting the business’s growth. Managing content was cumbersome, the customer experience was outdated, and their B2B operations required too much manual effort. Combined with frustratingly high operational costs, the team knew something had to change.


Henchman’s strategic vision was clear: to reduce total cost of ownership and empower their ecommerce team, while increasing key metrics. Shopify Plus was the answer, and they came to us to manage their move.

Solution

We migrated Henchman to Shopify Plus, a more scalable platform that empowers their team and improves the customer journey.


The new site features cleaner designs and allows for easier content and merchandising updates. Shopify’s B2B functionality also simplifies wholesale operations, enabling smaller retailers to order directly from the site with price books for returning buyers.


With improved checkout functionality and clear delivery options, Henchman can now reduce cart abandonment while boosting AOV and CVR. The new site gives their team the agility to respond quickly to customer needs and market trends.

Since 1994, Henchman have pioneered British ladder design, providing specialist ladders and platforms to help people work at height with confidence.

With a growing customer base and expanding B2B market, they needed an ecommerce solution that could scale with them. The move to Shopify Plus has given Henchman the tools to operate more efficiently, delivering all the features they had on Magento in a way that is significantly easier to use.


The new site also lays the foundation for future growth, including the potential to integrate Shopify POS for trade shows. With a more flexible and intuitive ecommerce system in place, Henchman are set up to scale seamlessly, while continuing to deliver their industry-leading safety solutions.
